Why the app is an APK and not a Play Store listing
Google's policies restrict real-money gaming apps in India, so platforms in this category distribute directly instead. That is normal here rather than a warning sign in itself — but it does shift the responsibility for verifying the file onto you, because there is no store review step in between.
Practically, it means one rule matters more than everything else on this page: get the file from the official domain and nowhere else.
Downloading safely
Repackaged APKs are the single most common route to credential theft in this category. A modified build can look pixel-identical to the real app, ask for the same login, and quietly forward your number and password elsewhere. File-sharing sites, APK mirror directories and links forwarded in group chats are all common sources of these.
Three checks before you install. First, the domain — type it yourself rather than following a link from a message. Second, the permissions the installer requests: a gaming app has no reason to want your contacts or SMS. Third, turn the unknown-sources permission back off once the install finishes, so nothing else can use the door you opened.
If an app you already have starts asking for your password again unexpectedly, stop and check the site in a browser instead of typing it.
App or browser?
The app loads faster than the mobile site, holds your session between visits, and pushes notifications when results and promotions land. If you play several times a week, it is worth having. If you visit occasionally, the browser is fine and avoids the install entirely — nothing in the game library is missing from the web version.
One caution about notifications: alerts for every result are a reason to open the app you did not choose. Turn off the categories you do not need, and keep the ones that concern your wallet.
iPhone and iPad
There is no APK for iOS, and any site offering one is not legitimate. iOS players use Safari or Chrome, where the platform is fully responsive. Adding the site to your home screen from the share menu gives you an icon that opens full screen, which is close to the app experience minus push notifications.
Be wary of anything asking you to install a configuration profile or an enterprise certificate to get a "9K Club iOS app". That is a well-known route to compromising an iPhone, and no genuine operator requires it.
Updates and storage
Because there is no store, updates do not arrive automatically. The app usually prompts you when a new build is available, and you install it the same way — download and confirm, over the top of the existing one. Your account and balance live on the server, so nothing is lost by updating or even reinstalling.
Running an old build for months is the most common cause of "the app stopped working" reports, since server-side changes eventually leave stale clients behind. If something breaks after a long gap, update before troubleshooting anything else.

"App not installed"
Usually an existing copy signed differently, or not enough free storage. Uninstall the old version and try again with a few hundred megabytes free.
Play Protect blocks the install
Expected for any app outside the store; you can proceed from the warning dialog. Only do so if you are certain of the source — this is precisely the check that catches a repackaged file, so do not dismiss it out of habit.
Download stalls or the file is corrupt
Delete the partial file and download again on a stable connection. An interrupted APK will fail to install rather than install badly.
